DENTAL MICROBIOLOGY LAB

Catalog description

This course presents the basic principles of microbiology and sterilization. Provides special attention to microorganisms and their relation to sterilization procedures and disinfection. The regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Agency Administration (OSHA), related to the occupation, will be emphasized. The student will learn the methods for infection control and to prevent disease transmission. The student must complete a total of six (6) contact hours each week, distributed in three (3) of conference class, and three (3) of laboratory work.
