Catalog description

Study of the fundamental principles and techniques of digital sound production. The theoretical component presents a comprehensive vision of radio as business and as an industry, and addresses the legal, ethical and administrative aspects of sound production together with the technological innovation of the practical component of the course. Audience, programming, script writing, equipment and production facilities are studied. The course will emphasize the technical and artistic aspects of sound content production. The student will experience the creation of programs managing applications used in the industry to acquire skills and master the technology as well as the critical thinking necessary in the field. The theoretical foundations of sound will be used in the processes of recording, editing and diffusion of the sound signal for radio, video and the Internet, through teamwork resulting from an exerci se of creativity on the part of the students. The content of the course will ensure the ethics and diversity required in the sound production field and will promote effective communication among students.
