FUNDAMENTALS OF GENERAL CHEMISTRY

Catalog description

An introductory course about the principles of General Chemistry. It includes as measurement systems, matter and energy, atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonds, radioactivity, stoichiometry, properties of solutions, liquid and gaseous states of matter, chemical kinetics, and acids and bases chemistry. The laboratory offers students skills related to the basic experimental techniques such as, the use of volumetric equipment, titration and qualitative analysis among others. The course consists of 45 hours of lectures and 45 hours of laboratory.
