Catalog description

This course will introduce our students to the fundamental concepts of marine biology, emphasizing tropical marine life. The course is divided into four units the ocean environment, marine organisms, marine ecosystems, humans and the sea. These units will cover the physical, biological, and ecological processes shaping marine life and examine the effect of anthropogenic actions in the dynamics of such processes. The course consists of 45 hours of lecture s and 45 hours of laboratory.
