Catalog description

This course consists of the basic radiological fundamentals and their use in veterinary medicine. The importance of handling the x-ray machine. How to maintain a good quality diagnostic image, management of the medical record and how to communicate to the veterinarian about the result of the image obtained. You will become familiar with radiographic veterinary terminology. You will develop skills for the management and positioning of the patient (domestic and exotic animals) for the taking of a radiological image. In addition, you will study the processes of how to perform the taking of special images. You will know the differences of the process revealed, the importance of radiation safety as he alth professionals. At the end of the course, the student will have developed critical and analytical thinking to determine that the quality of their work meets the standards of Veterinary Radiology.
