Catalog description

The course presents the clinical laboratory techniques and procedures commonly used in hematology, urinalysis, clinical chemistry, coprological evaluation, and veterinary cytology. The techniques, methods, and results reporting are emphasized, rather than their interpretation. The laboratory equipment and instruments necessary to carry out the different tests are known, as well as their quality control systems. Sample collection in common species is reviewed and possible errors in the handling of the samples that can complicate the interpretation of the laboratory data and how to identify and solve them are discussed.
