Catalog description
A very challenging course in accounting program concentration. Consider the study of the flow of costs to one or several cost objects. Such costs are classified as: direct and indirect costs, manufacturing costs and cost classification according to their conduct. Emphasis is placed on the determination and flow of such costs and how they affect the Cost of Goods Sold in the Income Statement. Management planning and control functions are themes considered an important part of decision-making process. The course includes, among others, the ethical and professional role of the accountant; cost classification and its importance in decision making; cost for the determination of Cost – Volume – Profit Analysis using the concept of the Breakeven Point with various methods and sensitive situations; The Job Order Cost System and the Process Cost System are considered for th e accounting processes of cost and its impact on decision making.
