Catalog description

Study of deep tissue massage techniques, myofascial release, passive, active and duplicate stretches that allow the development of a therapy specifically aimed at the client's muscular system. Emphasis is placed on the development of knowledge and competencies of anatomy and physiology, benefits and physiological effects of techniques that manipulate soft tissues, pathology, contraindications, and body biomechanics. These competencies are developed through lectures and practical exercises that allow the student to treat soft tissue injuries, which are related to the origin of many conditions. In addition, the development of communication, ethics, and diversity skills is facilitated.
