Catalog description
Through this course, the student will acquire knowledge and develop skills in: (a) innovation as a key to tourism development, (b) new tourism trends, (c) strategic planning models, (d) tourism management and development models, (e) potential diagnostics of tourism projects, and (f) public policy mode ls. Through case studies at the global level, the student will be exposed to the discussion and analysis of these topics. In addition, laws, regulations, financial incentives, and endorsement processes related to tourism development in Puerto Rico will be examined.
