Intensive study of the neuronal, hormonal, genetic and evolutionary bases of human behavior with an emphasis on the processes that underlie learning, cognition, motivation, and emotions. The structures, functions and development of the nervous system are p resented, as well as physiological aspects of sensation and perception, the regulation of behavior and disorders or mental conditions most common in infancy, childhood, and youth, according to the most recent research in neuropsychology and cognitive neuro science, including psychopharmacology. The course format includes lectures, case discussions, critical analysis of readings and scientific and research articles, as well as written assignments, presentations, and tests that strengthen oral and written comm unication skills. The promotes the analysis of information and data for the ethical and legal decision -making of the profession in the context of the neurophysiological and behavioral diversity of the human being. .
