Catalog description

Analysis of reading and writing learning disabilities and its implications in the teaching of students at the elementary level (6-12). Discussion of the implications of differentiated teaching methodology, adaptations, and modification in the teaching of reading and writing for the student of special education in the secondary level (6 -12) including gifted students. Emphasis in the application of instructional methods and techniques of teaching and learning, including comprehension analysis skills. Applicat ion, observations, analysis and development of assessment instruments and planning lessons aligned with Individualized Educational Program goals and objectives; also, responsible use of technology including assistive technology for differentiated instructi on of reading and writing.
