Catalog description

This course is designed for the interpreting student to be able to list and study many of the different cultural idioms in Puerto Rico and other Spanish speaking communities. Through the use of comparison and analysis of traditional and typical phrases, the student will be able to look for meaning in various contexts. This course will help the student with the development of analytic thinking to be used in any interpreting situation of idiomatic phrases. Also, the student will analyze songs, poetry and theater. students will have both didactic and practice experiences in the classr oom.
