ADMINISTRATION OF INFANTS, TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Catalog description

This course develops critical thinking competencies by conducting a study and analysis of early childhood service programs, both for-profit and non-profit. Aspects to be considered to explore the need for services for establishing a center in a given place are discussed through the design of a needs study questionnaire, demonstrating their competencies of information and communication skills. The future teacher assistant will develop their ethics and diversity competencies through the in -depth study of Law 173 of 2016, for the Licensing of Care, Development, and Learning Centers for Children in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. People management competence is developed by designing a proposal for the establishment of a center, including a budget and inventory of equipment and materials, demonstrating a basic level of their quantitative reasoning competence. In addition, student s will evaluate the functions and tasks of all the staff of a center, according the provisions of the Law. Finally, students will demonstrate development in the innovation and service-oriented competencies by designing and creating promotion strategies for the establishment.
