Catalog description

Study of the origins and evolution of pharmacy as a profession. Includes the discussion of the basic concepts and terminology used in the occupation of the Pharmacy Technician. Focuses on the prescription and most important abbreviations used in it and their meaning, as well as procedures for its handling and dispatch. The course covers different presentation types of medications, commonly used equivalencies and pharmacy administration. The student must complete a total of three (3) contact hours each week.
