Catalog description

This course provides an opportunity for the student to implement and evaluate a planned evidence-based practice change project. This project lays the groundwork for future scholarship. This course culminates in a tangible and deliverable academic product d erived from the practice immersion experience. It facilitates the development of competencies related to person -centered care, population health, scholarship for the nursing discipline, quality and safety, interprofessional partnership, information and healthcare technologies and personal, professional and leadership development. This course is the culmination of the Capstone project that focuses on improving nursing practice or education. It requires 45 hours of theory and 250 hours of practice for the imp lementation of the project.
