Catalog description
This course presents the process for formulating differential diagnoses for advanced practice providers. The findings of the estimated history and physical examination and laboratory results are analyzed to make differential diagnoses and establish the diagnoses in a correct manner. Discussion and practice of proper specimen collection, handling of specimens, analysis of microscope slides and radiologic examinations. Emphasis on the development of knowledge, critical thinking skills and abilities, and scientific and quantitative reasoning to gather information, perform a focused physical examination and analyze data collection. 45 hours of theory are required per academic term
