Catalog description

Study of concepts of organizational behavior at the level of individual, group and organizational structure. It presents the principles of management and historical development of human resource management. Study and analysis of the activities and challenges of human resources management. Review of some labor laws and regulations of Puerto Rico (applicable to public sector employees) and the United States (applicable on the Island) MSPA 510 RESEACH TECHNIQUES AND QUANTITATIVE METHODS APPLIED TO PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION 3 CREDITS The course includes the concepts of investigative methodology and statistics that are applicable to the Public Affairs Program. It presents a multidisciplinary approach appropriate to professions in the areas of Public Affairs. Students develop basic communication skills and develop critical thinking, technological literacy, information skills, ethics, and diversity through the study and application of social research methodology. .
