Catalog description

The course is designed to develop capabilities required to formulate, execute and support entrepreneurial intentions, specifically the launch and management of a small business. The main objective of this course is to introduce students to the key elements of entrepreneurial small businesses. The students will acquire knowledge of entrepreneurial tasks and behaviors required to successfully create and manage a small business. More specifically, students will be introduced to concepts related opportunity identification and exploitation; marketing and accounting in SMEs; and other manageri al tasks applied to small businesses. The course recognizes and highlights the distinction between small businesses and rapidly growing firms, which provides a clear vision of the reality of SMEs and its role on economic development.
