INTRODUCTION TO CAD FOR LANSCAPE ARCHITECTURE

This course introduces the student to the use of computer-aided drafting (CAD) programs for the landscape architecture profession. The options provided by the CAD tool are discussed, as well as the different commands to draw, edit and plan the entities. At the end of the course, students will produce lan dscape drawings at a schematic level from plan drawings, sections, elevations, contours, and technical information tables. They will achieve these drawings using the concepts acquired such as layer management, dimensions, values and type of lines, commands , geometry management, creation of symbols, use of references, preparation of technical sheets and export. The technology, technical drawing and construction skills, materials and methods required to produce and interpret a set of plans are developed.
