Catalog description
Three credit-hours. Three contact hours per week. Provides hands-on experience with a contribution to an existing entrepreneurial venture in a business incubator, accelerator or any entrepreneurial support program. Students should apply their capabilities for supporting the entrepreneurial activities of a startup applying technical knowledge and skills of their discipline as well as in areas such as market understanding and commercialization elements. The course must be approved by the Dean of the student’s school. Participants will work in focused teams to complete hands -on validation activities through instruction, exercises, and scenarios. In addition, students will use their communication skills to document their internship experiences by preparing a wri tten report and giving presentations that highlight innovation processes occurring in startups.
