Catalog description
This studio course continues the efforts of INDI 300, drawing upon all the skills and knowledge that students have acquired in studio to date. Employing a design process taught in the sophomore year students will develop mass- produced products for use by individuals in private life. Projects will include furniture, lifestyle accessories and electronics, as well as industry -sponsored collaborations. In this class students will research new materials and technologies and apply them in their designs, which in turn must address issues of utility, marke t niches, trends, inclusive design, sustainability and functionality.
