Catalog description
This is the first course in a two-part sequence of the Senior Design Project. A research project is promoted, based on professional practices, which will result in the development of a graphic design proposal that expands and develops the student's critical thinking within the discipline. During the course, students will be trained in research processes, methodologies, documentation, literature review, and other aspects that allow them to develop a topic of interest and that pr esents relevance and innovation in the graphic design industry. The students are required to develop a written proposal based on the ideation and research of their topic. This writing should focus on a design problem, its findings, and the application of t he topic to a graphic design project. The students must document and communicate their creative processes in front a jury.
