Catalog description
This course focuses on the design and development of a fashion collection for the ready -to-wear industry. Students will design the collection considering ethical aspects during the design process, impact on climate change, society and communities, as well as the active implementation of innovation and technology. They will research trends, categories and different markets that will allow them to explore new aesthetics. As a final project, a collection will be developed and one of the designs will be made, which involves the selection of materials according to the philosophies of sustainable fashion, draping, pa ttern making and the construction of toiles and final piece. In this course, they will continue to develop oral and visual presentation skills that allow them to clearly express their ideas and concepts.
