E-LEARNING AND VIRTUAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES

Catalog description
Study of various technological means used in distance education, both synchronous, and asynchronous, to promote learning in new virtual environments today. Critical analysis of the principles and theories on which e-learning is based, research conducted on various media, and effective teaching techniques and trends in the implementation of educational offerings through virtual learning communities will be applied. The development of materials, tools, and technological integration for a virtual learning community wil l be required. This course validates the competencies developed through the core courses (critical thinking, development of information skills, and content creation) and strengthens them at a proficient level tempered to the social, and cultural context, a nd technological trends.
