Catalog description
This course explores the different types of renewable energy and basic aspects such as where it is located, how we can take advantage of it for residential use and how it can contribute to alleviate pressures on the environment. Emphasis is placed on the development of knowledge and critical thinking competencies that enable the student to understand global climate change, dependence on fossil fuels, sustainable energies and a view of current energy demand and supply patterns. It includes the application of the rules and regulations established for this technology. These skills are developed through demonstrations, lectures, and practical exercises.
