Exotic animals are popular in zoos and, depending on the species of animals, may be an exotic pet for some people. These exotic animals require specialized health care, diets, handling and restraint, and environmental resources that allow them to remain healthy and stress free. This course will allow students to acquire knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of veterinarians w ith respect to diseases, husbandry, surgery and medicine as well as aspects of public health of these exotic species.
