Catalog description

The purpose of this class is to further develop the communication skills of the students focusing on professional phone calls and presentation of cases during clinical rounds. Also, to educate the students on how to examine and restrain small ruminants and cattle, perform an orthopedic exam and abdominal pa lpation including a rectal exam; and finally, to guide them in how to appropriately formulate medication doses and intravenous constant rate infusions. Students will learn some technical skills using simulations and others using live animals, through communication laboratories and small group projects.
