VETERINARY BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT

Catalog description

This course will cover the aspects related to the management of private veterinary practices. The information will include: communication skills, management of the practice as a business, veterinary information in computerized veterinary programs, inventory management, human resources, marketing, and financial statements. Also, it will include the planning and organization of the veterinary facilities according to the type of practice contemplated, either, small animals, large animals, mixed practice and/or exotics. Among the subjects that will be discussed, will include legal aspects and ethical that entails the management of a veterinary private practice, as well as, hiring and staff management.
