Catalog description

Three credit-hours. Three hours of lecture per week. This course serves as an introduction to the technologies and concepts about machine learning. Students learn basic concepts on supervised, unsupervised, reinforced learning including clustering, linear regression, neural networks, among others. In this senior -level course, students will have the opportunity to delve into recent developments in the field of machine learning, an important branch of artificial intelligence. Students will hone their analytical skills and use computer tools to build and train learning algorithms that enable computers to learn from data. Machine learning techniques can help solve the complex, data -rich problems encountered in e-commerce, banking, healthcare, logistics, social media, among others.
