Catalog description

Three credit -hours. Three hours of lecture per week. This course will introduce the basic principles in artificial intelligence research. Topics include simple representation schemes, problem solving paradigms, constraint propagation, and search strategies. Application areas such as knowledge representation, natural language processing, expert systems, robotic vision and machine learning will be explored. Students will use computer tools and their analytical skills to implement some of the techniques presented in this course.
