COMPUTER SCIENCE PROGRAMMING

Catalog description

This course provides students with the necessary knowledge and skill to use the Cobol language to program a computer. The course covers syntax, grammar and program structure in a modern computer system. It provides students with concepts and practice using structured programming technics so solve problems of beginner, intermediate and advanced complexity. We teach both interactive and batch programs with an emphasis on reading and writing text files. The course consists of 45 hours of lectures and 45 hours of laboratory.
