INSTRUMENTAL METHODS FOR MATERIAL CHARACTERIZATION

Catalog description

This course will cover methods for characterizing the structure and properties of materials, principally solid materials. The fundamentals of the existing different techniques to identify solids and its importance from the environmental point of view will be discussed. Structure characteriz ation techniques including optical, X -ray and electron microscopy, magnetic resonance and electro-calorimetric methods applied to solids will be covered.
