Catalog description
The emphasis of this course is focused on the states of matter, atomic and molecular structure, nomenclature of inorganic compounds, classification of elements in the periodic table, chemical bonding, equations, chemical reactions and stoichiometry. The la boratory trains the students in the management of basic laboratory techniques, such as: the use of volumetric equipment, titration and qualitative analysis, among others. You are taught to keep a laboratory notebook and work safely. The different activities of the course will allow t he student to develop skills which are extremely important in science and everyday life. The course consists of 45 hours of lectures and 45 hours of laboratory.
