The course is based in the source, production, manufacture and use of the pharmacological agents produced in microorganisms, animals and plant cells. Most of the course focus in the production of human oriented pharmacological agents and clinical diagnostics. The course also will cover topics of technical and research biotechnology and how these two affect society . The ever -increasing advances in the biotechnology field require constant discussions about the potential impact in society and culture.
