Catalog description

The central topic of the course is how molecular biology, mainly DNA /RNA/ protein synthesis, amplification , and sequencing affects the environmental and agricultural biotechnology. Applications of the biotechnology in the production of products with cells plants, environmental microorganisms will be reviewed, in special those related to insect repellents, genetically modified foods and genetic engineering for the productions of foods and vitamins. In addition, special interest will do to roll of biotechnology for the environmental biosensors, bio -treatment chemicals contamination. As part of the course, the rules, regulations and laws related to the used, transport, liberation, and disposal of genetically modified organisms. Finally, bioethics discussions will be encouraged by presentations of literature examples.
