Catalog description

This course is designed for students of Nursing Programs. Includes introductory topics in the study of the human body such as: the structure and function of the human body, with an emphasis on anatomy. The structure of various systems of the human body is presented, mainly the Integumentary, Skeletal, Muscular, Nervous, Endocrine, Cardiovascular, Lymphatic, Respiratory, Digestive, Urinary and Reproductive systems. It also integrates concepts of micro-anatomy, and macro -anatomy, basic concepts of Anatomy and Physiology such as: fundamentals on the structure of cells, tissues, organs and body systems, necessary for a general knowledge of the human body. includes, the development of skills related to health and safety in the laboratory, the use of laboratory instruments, scientific writing. In the laboratory sessions, the student will be able to carry out activities where he will be able t o: study the anatomy and physiology of the human body, through dissections, handling of models and histological preparations. It trains the students of the Nursing Program to be able to distinguish and recognize the structures of the human body and the tissues that make it up. The course consists of 45 hours of lectures and 45 hours of laboratory.
