Catalog description

This course is designed to orient individuals to wellness and the disease process as well as the basic principles of pharmacology. The course provides the opportunity to demonstrate an understanding of pharmaceutical principles by calculating dosage requirements and administering medication as well as preparing and administering parenteral and non-parenteral medications. Students will focus on the various methods and routes of administration, the risks associated with drug administration, and applying the rights of drug administration. Prerequisites: ME1105, ME1200.
