ECG AND CARDIOVASCULAR PROCEDURES

Catalog description

This course is designed to teach the procedural knowledge, cognitive strategies, and technical skills required to obtain electrocardiograms (ECGs) as well as to identify and communicate normal and abnormal results to the provider. Additionally, course instruction includes respiratory and specialized cardiovascular assessments. Students will examine emergency response procedures as well as complete basic life support training including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Prerequisites: ME1105, ME1200. 186
