This course is an introduction to the field of medical billing and provides the knowledge and skills needed to work in a variety of medical billing positions. The course covers the foundations of insurance, billing, and reimbursement. Students will learn a bout the submission of claims to the insurance carrier, reviewing medical records, verifying benefits, submitting secondary claims, and posting payments.
