Catalog description

This course provides the student with a basic understanding of interpersonal communication in the healthcare professional environment. Some of the principles explored are perception, listening and nonverbal strategies. Cultural and social awareness are ex amined in terms of interaction and business acumen. Practical experience is gained in written and oral communication; development of these skills is integrated with the use of technology.
