Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce the expectations of a Professional Practice Experience (PPE), the characteristics of working in a health information department or other healthcare setting and provides students the knowledge and skills to be successful while gaining practical work experience. This course will also strengthen and reinforce competencies needed to become a health information management professional and better prepare students for the RHIT certification exam. Tips and practical suggestions on how best to prepare for the RHIT certification exam will also be provided. Corequisite: HT2700
