INTERNATIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF DISEASES (ICD) CODING I

Catalog description

This course provides students with an overview of the clinical vocabularies and classification systems used to code diagnoses. Students will gain an understanding of the ICD system and how codes contribute to the reimbursement of services and case -mix anal ysis systems. The application of diagnostic coding principles is explored through simulation activities.
