Catalog description

The focus of this course is on radiology , taking x-rays from single periapicals to a full mouth series. The specialty covered is oral surgery which includes preparing the patient for analgesia and relieving anxiety. In the lab, students take x-rays until two full mouth series have been taken to the specifications set by the program. Students will have hands on practice with removing different types of sutures, as well as preparing a syringe for anesthetic. This course includes CPR certification and helps prepare students for Registered Dental Assi stant (RDA) certification requirements as well. Prerequisites: DA1110, DA1120 & DA1130
