INTRODUCTION TO DENTAL ASSISTING

Catalog description

This course introduces the role and function of a dental assistant as a member of the health care delivery team. Topics include history and development of dentistry; legal and ethical responsibilities; communication and interpersonal relationships; importance and use of dental records; and basic anatomy, physiology, and terminology. Basic concepts of infection control also included.
