PROCEDURAL CODING I FOR MBC

Catalog description

This course introduces basic coding principles of procedure coding utilizing the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS). The student will be able to identify the services and procedures to be coded. The application of procedural coding principle s of HCPCS Level I (CPT) and Level II (Medicare National Codes) for the purpose of reporting medical, surgical, and diagnostic services to healthcare payers for reimbursement are also covered in this course.
