Beginning Patternmaking

Catalog description

This course is focused on garment pattern development, both contemporary and historical. Students will explore the foundations of flat patterning by creating basic body blocks then manipulating them to create garments. Students will also explore historical techniques and resources for creating garments from previous centuries. Basic sewing skills will be required.
