Advanced Real Estate Finance

Catalog description

The objective of this course is to provide students with an advanced-level understanding of real estate finance including analysis and finance products. Students will be introduced to advanced modeling skills for Excel including how to create dynamic models for equity waterfall structures. Students will also be introduced to advanced finance products including Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, New Market Tax Credits, Opportunity Zones and other finance products. Students will look at real world examples, including real estate development projects that have utilized multi-source finance products.
