Catalog description

Countries around the world face the same major challenge – how to improve the health of their population in the face of limited resources. Despite this common concern, no two health systems are identical. Using the World Health Organizations’ building blocks of health systems framework, this course is an in-depth exploration of the French health system, the ways in which it has been shaped by France’s history and culture, and its relationships with the countries that were formerly its colonies. This is a three-credit course with no prerequisites.
