This course introduces students to the principles and practices of healthcare quality measurement and improvement in the U.S. Students will explore how quality is defined, measured, and regulated across healthcare settings. Topics include patient safety, performance metrics, accreditation, and continuous quality improvement. Through case studies and applied exercises, students will learn how quality initiatives impact patient outcomes, provider behavior, and health system performance.
