This course introduces the structure, financing, and delivery of the U.S. healthcare system. Students will explore the continuum of care, the healthcare workforce, insurance models, and major public and private payers. The course also examines contemporary challenges in the U.S. healthcare system and compares our system to those of other high-income countries. Students will apply key concepts to real-world scenarios to strengthen their ability to navigate the healthcare system as informed consumers and future professionals.
